Russ Freeman Project concert on the 13th

An email I got from Rob Mader:
Carolyn Freeman is sponsoring another Nathan Tanouye concert featuring the music of Russ Freeman up at Spring Mountain Ranch this Saturday, September 13th at 7:00pm. Brandon Fields is playing lead alto, and Bobby Shew will be featured as well, along with the most of The Fat City Horns.

As Nathan says, we're doing all the really hard stuff. Full big band with harp and strings. Dave Loeb on keys, Derek Jones on bass, and Joe Malone on drums, the rhythm section will be unreal and the setting should be pretty magical.
If you've not been to a show up there, you gotta go. Recall my post of last September when Santa Fe put on a show there. It was just so cool. And Nathan's Russ Freeman arrangements are Masterworks!

Case in point, listen to a sample from the 2nd Freeman Project CD "Remembering Russ," a tune entitled "Band Aid" (a 01:45 excerpt from the breathtaking nine-minute arrangement)
