Weekend Update: April 5th 2008

The Hot Club of Las Vegas show at VOX Wine Lounge went off wonderfully last night. Very nice place, although the live music setting is located in this rather formal, upscale dining room with high backed plush seats. Not really a "lounge" per se.

No stage lighting at all (entire room is very dimly lit), so I had to shoot everything with flash. A few shots:

Mundo and crew featured special guests the very fine UK Gyspy Jazz duo Gypsy Fire. These cats can really throw down!

I bought their CD. It's loaded with stuff, 16 tunes on it.

Enjoy. BTW, these cats will be at the Santa Fe gig Monday night. I'm gonna ask and see if they can maybe sit in, do a tune or two.
