July 21st gig at The Palms, post show report

Dr. Lenny The Lopez in the house. It just does not get any better than this, period.

The Lopez brothers on fire tonight. A blessing to behold. BTW, Jerry ended up being off from Wayne Brady, and was there on time, so, Larry Esparza did not stand in after all. But, I'm sure he will before long.

Lenny doin' "Brother to Brother," "Ain't That Peculiar," "What'cha Gonna Do With That Greazy Thing,"and the legacy tune "Oh, Nena" (from the first CD). What more can you ask for?

Jerry singin' "Si Te Vas"? (only the finest song ever written, IMHO -- written by Dave Richardson, Jerry, and Carlos David, BTW)

Another one of those 14 alarm fire evenings, this was (well, 15 tonight). Bette Midler's management cat Marty Hom (below, left) and his entourage could not agree more.

More shots, randomly:

At the outset tonight I tried to capture in video mode the Fat City Horns doing their new horn section show opener. One of our blog readers has been pleading with me to give him a taste, he's Jones'in' so bad to hear the stuff. Well, I copped the footage, and then accidentally deleted it while reviewing shots during the show. My camera doesn't warn me "you sure you wanna do this, you inattentive, distracted airhead?"

[bleep].

Next time, bro', sorry.
