Danny Gans

Died at home. His wife awoke just before 3:45 a.m. to find him unconscious and not breathing. 52 years old. Terrible, sad news. Our hearts go out to the family and his many friends, and to his associates at Wynn/Encore.

Rest in peace, Sir.

Danny Gans: Tireless champion of charities

Kendall Tenney reporting

It wasn't just Danny Gans's act that got attention, it was his generous spirit. Danny was passionate about helping other people...

Yeah. I did not know him. But, my daughter Danielle knew him well. She is Executive Director of First Tee of Southern Nevada, and Danny was a major ongoing supporter. I shot this pic below during one of their fundraising golf tournaments. We shook hands briefly on the course that day.

See www.parteeforekids.com. Go to their photo gallery, you'll see a lot of shots I took for them, including one of Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns performing pro bono at their fundraising banquet. Just horribly sad that he is gone.
