The Palms: Save These Healing Dates!

THIS JUST IN: Jerry Lopez just informed me that a deal has been struck. THE Lounge at the Palms wants the band, but had already booked the room for other events periodically on Monday nights through year's end, consequently the Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns Monday night appearance schedule agreed to through the end of this year is:

5/29, 6/5, 6/12, 6/26, 7/3, 7/10, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31, 8/14, 8/21, 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 10/2, 10/9, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 11/27, 12/4, 12/11, and 12/18.
(Click the calendar to magnify, then right-click the image and save the jpeg to disk for reference if you wish.)
Also, from Jerry's email:

PS: The band will be playing in the Montelago Village near the water at LAKE LAS VEGAS on May 20th from 5:30 till 7:45 in the evening for a pre- Cinevegas show (two sets). More details later, but this might be a great time to bring someone to hear the band that can't make it late on a Monday night!! Know someone like that?

There are people out there that need healing!! We just want to bring it!

Your friend,

Jerry Lopez

Y'know, some of the guys will be playing with Ronnie Foster at The Artisan on Thursday and Saturday nights. Different stuff, smaller group, but the excellence is the same. And, The Artisan is a great place.

Just got a lead on another gig to go to on June 11 at 10:30 and June 25. Lon Bronson All Star-Band, Margaritaville, Las Vegas--R&B, Rock, Soul , and Funk.

Which would you recommend Lon or THe Hurricane jazz jam? I only have 3 days in Vegas and want to hit all the hottest gigs!

Lon Bronson's band is worth hearing. 8-pc horn section, big group. Santa Fe's "competition" (Santa Fe wins, though). The Hurricane jazz jam is great on any given night, but ya never know who's gonna show up. Hard for me to say. I'd probably go to Hurricane (but it's close to my house, and I can always go see either).

Thanks----I have a month to make up my mind for Sunday night, but Monday with Sante Fe is a no brainer.
