July 19th show at The Palms

A few quick pics before I crash for DayGigIstan. I'm jacked up again this week; gotta to to Reno early Wednesday morning for two days of medical clinic assessment visits.

Greg Sinclair was back on the light board. Great job, bro'. It's not much of a lighting grid (uneven coverage, with dark and hot spots), but Greg makes it work.

The band was thumpin' it hard tonight. Hated to leave before the end of the show.

Above, I used my Sony long lense a bit tonight (75-300 mm). It does OK.

Above, Rob Mader is back from Japan, and that's Dave Phillipus's brother Dan subbing ably for Eric Tewalt on bari (Dave, recall, is one of our regular subs for Nathan on trombone). Eric broke his ankle while stepping down off a Frankie Valli tour bus.

They didn't hold back on the charts. Dan stepped right up, blowing hard stuff like "Rosanna," "San Diego," "Brother to Brother," Love Somebody," "Love Jungle," "Soul Trilogy" etc

More after some Zzzz's and after I get home from work. Thanks to all for coming out tonight and supporting this magnificent band. We really appreciate it.

I left early. Band was smokin' but I have a 7 a.m. DayGigIstan call. Ugh.

A FEW MORE SHOTS

I don't have many good shots from Monday night (the smoke machined Bee Gees disco lighting sucked pretty bad, and the new crammed-in seating makes it difficult to get good shot angles without bothering the fans), and I'm totally jacked up at work this week. The final federal regulations bearing on my day job were just released -- 864 pages of brain-numbing detail we're all huddled over with sticky notes and highlighters. So, this is all I have at the moment.

Clint Holmes and friends this weekend at the Suncoast

Lenny called me today. Tomorrow and Sunday evenings, 7:30 in the Suncoast Showroom, Clint will be backed by Lenny on percussion and vocals, John Wedemeyer on guitar, Darryl Williams on bass, Jesse Gopen on drums, Jeff Neiman on keys (and Musical Director), with special guest appearance by Bill Fayne.

You know it'll be slammin'. I'll be there to cover the Sunday night show, camera at the ready.

POST SHOW REPORT

A Class Act, this man. Great show, high energy, killer arrangements, great band. Full house, too. Wonderful evening. I just have time to post a few shots, before hitting the sack for DayGigIstan.

I could not be more pleased to see Bill Fayne looking and performing so well.

Lotta guests got called up to jam.

Marvelous. Clint, Lenny, thanks for asking me to come. I got way more shots, 143 in all. I'll post more as I have time. It was a great show.

See y'all tomorrow night at The Palms. A message from Jerry regarding the new deal:

Friends,

The band will be back on stage at the PALMS CASINO at 10:30 tomorrow (Monday) night! Last Monday night was off the hook and we're trying to streamline the process so that people won't get turned away at the door like last Monday. There just weren't enough seats!

New policy: All tickets have to be purchased at the Pearl Theatre box office which is on the opposite side of the casino from the lounge. General Admission tickets will be $7 (there are 128 of these available) and VIP tickets will be $15. VIP tickets are for tables and booths and get you straight to the front of the line, no waiting. There are a limited amount of these VIP seats/tickets.

To reserve or purchase tickets in advance, call the Pearl Box Office at: (702) 942-7777, they will be open from noon until 10:45, after that tickets that aren't picked up will be at the front of the lounge.

If you have special needs or want a specific table, booth, or seat, call the VIP host Brian Mercis at: 702-604-6468 he will take care of you.

We all really appreciate your support and hope you'll be patient with us as we do our best to make sure you have the best time possible with us on Mondays!
