Santa Fe July 28th gig at The Palms
Our good friend, killer guitarist John Wedemeyer will again open the show for Jerry. If you've not heard this cat play, you need to rectify that. Above, my shot of John at the Palazzo earlier in the year.
Join us. 10:30 pm, no cover, no minimum as always. Let The Healing Begin.

POST GIG REPORT
John Wedemeyer in the House! Wow, did he ever light the place up. This cat plays so fine.
The crowd was repeatedly howling and jumping up in the wake of John's rides. Jerry had him stay up on stage after he got in, and John did the guitar solo in "Negrita." It blew us all away.
We had three subs in the Fat City Horns tonight: Tom Delibero on trumpet, Dave Phillipus on trombone, and Eric Tewalt on bari. Consequently, Rob decided to scratch the new planned Fat City Horns "a capella" intro piece, because this lineup had not had a chance to play the chart together (it's crazy difficult). They instead launched right into "South American Sojourn," and scorched it. I'd intended to capture the Fat City Horns intro piece in A/V video mode for one of our regular blog readers who's been seriously Jones'in' for a taste. But, alas, it was not to be. Next week, my brother.
Below, some shots of Fat City Horns "v1.5"
Tyriq's brother, Santa Fe alum Johnny Johnson was in the house tonight, and promptly got called into action.
Below, Johnny's brother Tyriq.
More to come...2:33 a.m., just finished mowin' a plate of egg rolls with hot Chinese mustard. Will post what's in the can thus far, for any impatient early viewers.

OK, I'm back. Got some pretty good shots of Jamie tonight. He stepped out at one point to do his original tune "This Time." Very cool.
Well, lessee; the new original songs are accruing for a 3rd Santa Fe CD:
Tony Davich (below) smoked "You Don't Know Me" tonight. Crowd freaked, it was so badass.
Other notable tunes tonight: "Munequita" from the 1st CD, "Wishing Well," "Ain't That Peculiar," "Soul Trilogy," and "Living For The City." I also must not forget "Dave Richardson's "Salvation," on which John Wedemeyer played lead prior to Jerry's arrival. More shots to follow:
Decent night behind the lense overall. Sure was a great, thumpin' show. Thanks to everyone who came out to hang.
