TOMORROW NIGHT, YIKES!

Clark County Amphitheatre, 8 pm. Sypro Gyra. Free concert! OMG!

I'll be takin' backup batteries. Our homie Bonny B. will be on the kit, I assume (clip from a show in San Diego last fall below).

Check out Jay playin' alto and soprano saxes at the same time! Quick! Somebody call the AF of M local! Ain't you s'posed to get double scale for that?
____________

FYI, a good cause...

"edun LIVE is an ethical t-shirt company created by Ali Hewson and Bono. The mission is to drive sustainable employment in sub-Saharan Africa through sales of 100% cotton eco-certified blank t-shirts."

JOHN WEDEMEYER et al

I heard from Tim Scott yesterday that he and John Wedemeyer (above, my pic of him at The Palazzo) and Brad Cordle are appearing at the new Trader Vic's this weekend (in Planet Hollywood on The Strip).

Don't know the gig times or entire lineup.

____________

SWO pics from Friday evening:

I copped just a few shots. No stage lighting at all, had to bail to flash (ugh). In fact, no stage either. "Uh, here, guys, set up over in this dark area aside the path to the restrooms..."

They sounded fine, nice charts, great mix, too. Peeps wuz dancin' enthusiastically. Very cool.

Above: Tommy Alvarado is one class act. Dig the cat majorly. Below, Eddie DiMarino also plays his butt off. Really fine bass player, solid as a rock. He and Joel Richman (tubs) work so well together (Joel is one of my favorite Vegas drummers -- though, it's a long list, LOL, so much talent here).

Below, Eddie Rich, woodwinds cat from Kentucky. He and I have been hooked up on MySpace for a while, but this was our first face-to-face meetup and hang. Very nice dude.
